Connecticut Department of Public Health Approved Lead Initial Course: Lead Planner-Project Designer courses offered at Chem Scope are CT DPH approved under 20-478-1 through 3. Connecticut is an EPA authorized state and thus the course is also EPA accredited under CFR 40 745.226. This training may be accepted in other states. Check with individual states for any added requirements for licensing or certification.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Prerequisite is the 5 day lead supervisor training course. Students who successfully complete the initial course become eligible to be certified by DPH in the discipline. They have to meet state requirements and submit a fee with an application. Refresher courses are required annually to maintain active certifications.
Course presentation includes: Lectures, demonstrations, at least four hours of hands-on training, a hands on skills assessment, and a written examination.
COVID-19
Persons with symptoms of or a current positive test for COVID-19 may not enter the Chem Scope, Inc. training center.
Our training center policy is to follow the current CDC guidance found at cdc.gov/coronavirus along with any state or local guidance applicable to in-person training sessions.
Cancellation policy
Class sizes are restricted. In order to provide training to people on waiting lists, we require at least 1 business day (24 hour) notification that a student will not attend a class. Except in the case of emergencies or illness, including COVID-19 symptoms, quarantine, or diagnosis, we reserve the right to…
- In the case of same-day cancellation for refresher training classes, refuse refund and retain 100% of the price of each ticket purchased but not used by the registered party. In this case, students will have to purchase a new ticket to attend a refresher on a different date and cannot transfer their ticket fee.
- In the case of same-day cancellation for initial training classes, retain a non-refundable fee equal to 50% of the price of each ticket purchased but not used by the registered party.
